What should I expect at a first appointment?
The initial consultation will last up to 45 minutes. During this time a comprehensive assessment of the current condition will be taken, in addition to other relevant details.
During the assessment a thorough physical examination will take place. This may involve you undressing to your underwear in order to carry out an accurate assessment. You may wish to bring shorts with you if you would feel more comfortable.
At the end of the initial consultation a diagnosis of the problem will be given and explained.
A treatment plan will then be discussed.
Follow up appointments will take about thirty minutes at which you will be reviewed and treated accordingly.
How much does an appointment cost?
The initial appointment is £40.00* and follow up appointments are £35.00. Payments are made by cash or cheque after the appointment. Receipts are issued for health insurance companies.
If less than 24 hours' notice is given to cancel an appointment, regrettably a fee will be charged.
* The initial assessment for insurance referred patients is £45 to cover the time taken for all the extra paperwork that is generated by them.
Do you provide home visits?
Yes. Sometimes it is necessary to visit patients at home. This is usually only required after surgery or if a patient is housebound and unable to travel. The cost of a home visit includes travel time from the clinic and so this does increase the cost of treatment. Please telephone for more details.
How do I make an appointment?
Please telephone 01225 706527. If the answer phone replies then please leave a clear message with your name, contact number and a brief description of the problem and I will call you back to make an appointment.
